Rainwater harvesting, socio-economical and eco-friendly way of House
construction through Terrocotta /stone
Hon’ble
Madam,
With due respect , our society prays
before you to kindly see our appeal within your leisure period.
Our
society makes it possible to use Terracotta items into a house
construction material.
In Manbhum , one community ’KUMBHAKAR’ who knows better to
operate the mud made wheel and produced several mud made items. Now a
day, as the demand is very low, they bound to leave the wheel production
for their livelihood. As a result of which no other person is interested
to involve in this job and their inherent thchnique for the operation of
wheel is vanishing gradually. Our society makes it possible to erect
wall/house through terracotta production and the inherent artists of
terracotta get inspired again to involve themselves to their inherent
job. Now they need work for their livelihood.
Through our practical experience we may erect a Hall/Cold storage
through stone without using cement and rod/iron.
The above construction of stone is for the purpose of erecting
stair of a house. But in the way of construction of stair we may able to
build a room as a bonus as well. These stone can be excavated in the
river of drought area and make a water reservoir automatically.
Our society wants to engage them in proper rain water harvesting
work in drought area like Purulia. In accordance to our experience we
may able excavate a pond (by digging 15000 cub. Meter of soil) with a
meager amount of Rs. 5 lakhj-
10 lakh. In initial stage at least 5
to 10 no, of such pond are required to be excavate in every panchyat of
Purulia so as to collect rain water and agricultural production
in this drought area. As
the ingredients of this area’s soil is very good , fishing, honey,
vegetable and ducker project will run successfully .We need fund to do
the same. If fund is
available we may able to establish another sorobor like Saheb Band in
Purulia. Soil of Purulia is very good for cultivation of pulses &
nuts with the help of rhizobium culture/bio-fertilizer.
This agricultural production can be achieved without sufficient rain
water in rainy season. Inhabitants of this area, now a day, entrusted
with cultivation of rice which requires more water during their spun. So
they have to depend with sufficient rain water with an interval of 5 to
10 days. Although they are not interested with the cultivation of pulses
and nuts. With the help of Govt./NGO their motives can be changed
practically by producing nuts and pulses whose market value is much more
then the rice.
For eradication of poverty in drought area our society will
perform the above work, if allowed with fund by the Govt.
Yours faithfully
