Solar energy offers these advantages
over conventional energy:
■ Free after recovering upfront capital costs. Payback time can be relatively short.
■ Available everywhere and inexhaustible.
■ Clean, reducing demand for fossil fuels and hydroelectricity, and their environmental drawbacks.
■ Can be building-integrated, which can reduce energy distribution needs.
Building Energy’s team of experienced solar professionals will help you understand, assess, and plan the solar energy solution that best meets your needs. We will work as your partner through all the various stages of solar system implementation including site assessment, component selection, and installation.
A Site Assessment includes a shading analysis, roof inspection and review of your existing mechanical systems. We will also review your recent utility bills with you so that we can recommend the best system to meet your energy requirements.
Building design issues Careful solar design can:
■ Maximize possible solar transmission and absorption in winter to minimize or reduce to zero the heating energy consumption, while preventing overheating.
■ Use received solar gains for instantaneous heating load and store the remainder in embodied thermal mass or specially built storage devices.
■ Reduce heat losses using insulation and windows with high solar heat gain factors.
■ Employ shading control devices or strategically planted deciduous trees to exclude summer solar gains that create additional cooling load.
■ Employ natural ventilation to transfer heat from hot zones to cool zones in winter and for natural cooling in the summer; use ground-source cooling and heating to transfer heat to and from the underground, which is more or less at a constant temperature, and utilize evaporative cooling.
Design procedure
The initial design steps in solar design are to:
1. Set performance targets for energy sources and uses.
2. Minimize heating and cooling loads through orientation, massing, envelope and landscape design.
3. Maximize solar and other renewable energy to meet the building load, then to design efficient systems that are integrated with the building envelope performance characteristics.
4. Use simple energy simulation tools and detailed simulations in evaluating options at the early design stages and later to assess alternatives.

The Legendary Craft is Terracotta

The clay toys and earthenware find their place in ancient Indian history 5000 BC to 2000 BC. Some terracotta samples found along the River Nile are dated back close to 10,000 BC. There are many such stunning examples of terracotta works from Egypt dated to be as early as 5,000 BC.

The art of terracotta is still alive and thousands of families find livelihood in this age old handicraft. The traditional craft shows mastery of art and perseverance. It is amazing that the art not only survived the upheavals of the ages but has excelled with the passage of time. t is made of special kind of clay found locally. The wares are only dried up under the sun and never baked unlike other terracotta materials. The process of making terracotta is simple yet very labour- intensive. The clay dough is made by special clay.

Open Letter

To
The honorable Chief Minister,
Writers' Buildings,
Kolkata-1
, West Bengal

Sub: Rainwater harvesting, socio-economical and eco-friendly way of House construction through Terrocotta /stone
Hon’ble Madam,
With due respect , our society prays  before you to kindly see our appeal within your leisure period.
Our society makes it possible to use Terracotta items into a house construction material.

In Manbhum , one community ’KUMBHAKAR’ who knows better to operate the mud made wheel and produced several mud made items. Now a day, as the demand is very low, they bound to leave the wheel production for their livelihood. As a result of which no other person is interested to involve in this job and their inherent thchnique for the operation of wheel is vanishing gradually. Our society makes it possible to erect wall/house through terracotta production and the inherent artists of terracotta get inspired again to involve themselves to their inherent job. Now they need work for their livelihood.
Through our practical experience we may erect a Hall/Cold storage through stone without using cement and rod/iron.

The above construction of stone is for the purpose of erecting stair of a house. But in the way of construction of stair we may able to build a room as a bonus as well. These stone can be excavated in the river of drought area and make a water reservoir automatically.
Our society wants to engage them in proper rain water harvesting work in drought area like Purulia. In accordance to our experience we may able excavate a pond (by digging 15000 cub. Meter of soil) with a meager amount of  Rs. 5 lakhj- 10 lakh. In initial stage at least  5 to 10 no, of such pond are required to be excavate in every panchyat of Purulia so as to collect rain water and agricultural production  in this drought area.  As the ingredients of this area’s soil is very good , fishing, honey, vegetable and ducker project will run successfully .We need fund to do the same.  If fund is available we may able to establish another sorobor like Saheb Band in Purulia. Soil of Purulia is very good for cultivation of pulses & nuts with the help of rhizobium  culture/bio-fertilizer. This agricultural production can be achieved without sufficient rain water in rainy season. Inhabitants of this area, now a day, entrusted with cultivation of rice which requires more water during their spun. So they have to depend with sufficient rain water with an interval of 5 to 10 days. Although they are not interested with the cultivation of pulses and nuts. With the help of Govt./NGO their motives can be changed practically by producing nuts and pulses whose market value is much more then the rice.
For eradication of poverty in drought area our society will perform the above work, if allowed with fund by the Govt.
Yours faithfully

Sub: To preserve and promote the skillness of the traditional Artists (meagure one)
who are still able to errect the Temples, monuments etc. as it is preserved by ASI.
Sir
With due respect our society narrating herein under of the subject matter.
1) That it is kind enogh to ASI for preserving the Indian heritage specially which were errected through stone, terracotta etc. by the Indian Artists in 7th century. Visitors of such heritage still becomes pleasant and like to visit again and again .
2) That after 9th century such construction gradually decreased as a result of which the traditional artists decreasing simultaneously generation to generation and now it becomes megure who will able to build of such socio-economical and eco-friendly way .
That our society according to its bye-laws able to guide a small unit of such traditional artists by providing job for erecting of such construction . We will able to build in big form of such construction  by excavating a water reservoir in drought area i. e. involve one work and  get bonus of rain water harvesting work in droughty area.

Subject: Socio Economic, Eco Friendly way of Construction

Sir,
With due respect, our society appeal before you with the following.
1) According to bye laws our society promote Terracotta into a house construction material as such the inherent Artists survived. They need such kind job for their existence.
2) It is quite obvious to almost all in this Anchal that terracotta means Bishnupur as its origin . But in Manbhum such skillness is still existed who are able to construct wall/house through ‘Pradip dani’ and so on through their wheel production. Such skilled person/community, who are able to operate mudmade wheel, are decreasing day by day .For their existence they need to their assigned job. Our society, ensure terracotta production into house construction material.

3) It is also obvious that the railway bridge were constructed over the small river through stone which is still existed without any hamper/repair. Now a days it is constructed with the help of cement in which is not ever lasting. Our society gain more knowledge by observing the inherent construction of bridge and able to construct bridge with the help of stone which will be everlasting (except natural calamities) without hampering the natural existence of earth. These stone can be excavated in drought area and make a bridge for development of a country in socio-economical and eco-friendly way. Through this excavation we get bonus for the people in drought area in the form of water reservoir as well as forbade the flood in another side in West Bengal.
4) After invention of iron, British in India made bridge by erecting stone pillar and laying iron horizontally in stone base river in drought area. But it requires reestablishment either by way of repairing or removing. Our society claim that if we erect arch in the form of ∏r amongst pillars then it will be everlasting as usual as in plain land.

Our representatives, if desired, can explain in person about above.

To
Jain Temple Authority

Sub:  A apple regarding ancient Jain Temple

Almost all old temples/Deyul in Pather Anchal were Jain Temple. Characteristic feature of these temples are still existed which may ascertain as follows.
1)      24 Trithankar whose holy places were constructed through the local stone and local manpower of this Pathar anchal .
2)      One or more holy respectable person aware the basic knowledge to the the labour of this anchal
By which they were overcome for their  appropriate house construction.
3)      Mandir /Temples were surrounded by special type of climber/trees.
4)      In every Mandir /Temple ,one water reservoir ,adjacent to the temple4,attached.
5)      All construction of such Temple were performed in socie-economical  and eco-friendly way.
6)      Now a days ,after passing several  years, Jain temples constructed without paying attention of        the ancient characteristic pattern. The materials are brought from  another places  by the business man like so called White marble. A s a result of which, the ancient spiritual meditated Mandir/Temple is  gradually abolishing.
We have in collection of several  antique  of the ancient temple  are in our custody. With the help of these antique ,we are interested to build another antique pattern Mandir /Temple. We also have some knowledge to construct such  particular pattern through local stone.
For more detail, kindly visit us at our site. We are weighting for your reply.
